19 January 2020 – Solid Automotive acquired the balance 19.8% shares from Toyota Tsusho Corporation and became 100% shareholder of Borneo Technical.
2019
Borneo Technical became a 80.2% subsidiary of Solid Automotive which is listed on the Main Board of Bursa Securities Malaysia. Toyota Tsusho Corporation remains a 19.8% shareholder.
2014
June 2014 – Toyota Tsusho Corporation acquired Borneo Technical and became a subsidiary of a well established international trading company which operates in over 74 countries worldwide.
2009
Exclusive Distribution Agreement with Yokohama Batteries for Borneo Technical was established.
2005
As a result of the further rationalisation within Li & Fung Distribution, the Industrial business of which Borneo Technical and Kwikpart are part of it, were acquired by Hup Soon Global.
1999
Inchcape Techinical (renamed Borneo Technical) & Kwikpart were acquired by Li & Fung Distribution.
1998
Kwikpart was established with the objective of distributing fast moving service items for all car makes, targeting directly to service centres and workshops.

The name of The Borneo Company (1986) Sdn Bhd was changed to Inchcape Technical (M) Sdn Bhd and subsequently become a subsidiary of Inchcape Holdings Sdn. Bhd.

Further rationalization within the formation of the The Borneo Company (1986) Sdn Bhd which become a subsidiary of the Inchape Timuran group.
1975
The Borneo Co (1975) Sdn Bhd was formed taking over the business activities in Peninsula Malaysia. The Company subsequently become a wholly owned subsidiary of Kumpulan Inchcape Sdn. Bhd.
